Since 1982, CDE has opened up to the African market with prestigious achievements such as:
- The headquarters of the ECOWAS Fund in LOME
- The University of DSCHANG in CAMERO
- BCEAO Headquarters
- The BCEAO National Agency of MALI
- Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation of Grand-Yoff DAKAR
- The SAKOBA aquaculture project in Guinea Etc...
This period will also see the creation of subsidiaries in Guinea Conakry, Mali and Guinea Bissau.

In 1990, CDE successfully entered the Public Works and Roads market, which today represents 20% of its activity, with the desire to develop this sector. The 90s were marked by strong growth in activity and saw its turnover reach 30 billion CFA francs in 1999.
A short but tough period ensued, during which the vital forces of the company mobilized to absorb the first effects of globalization.
